Chant with musical notation in the following choir books (plainchant) of the Cathedral of Seville: E-SEV L-37b (dated in the 17th century) (ff. 121r-122v); E-SEV L-69 and E-SEV L-70 (pp. 69-72) both books dated in the 19th century contain a different melody. E-SEV L-44b (dated in the 17th century) (ff. 118-119v) contains a palimpsest with the melody from L-69 and L-70, the same melody from E-SEV L-37b has been scraped.

Alonso Lobo (Chapel master at Cathedral of Seville 1604-1617) composed the polyphonic hymn Regis indigni (stanza 3: Carceris squalor) and used the melody from E-SEV L-37b as cantus firmus (Archivo de la Catedral de Sevilla, capilla de música, Libro de polifonía nº 16, Himnario para los Santos de Sevilla, fols. 8v-9). Gaspar de Úbeda (Chapel master at Cathedral of Seville 1710-1724) composed the polyphonic music (stanza 5: Ergo sanctorum) (Archivo de la Catedral de Sevilla, capilla de música, Libro de polifonía nº 16, Himnario para los Santos de Sevilla, fols. 9v-10) with the same cantus firmus that Lobo.
